James Schlosser, 65, Of Alexandria Remembered After Thursday Evening Motorcycle And Pickup Collision In Douglas County

James Schlosser, a 65-year-old Alexandria resident, died after a Thursday evening motorcycle and pickup collision near County Road 45 and Lakota Drive Southwest.

The incident happened just after 7:00 p.m. on June 25, 2026, and emergency crews reached the scene within minutes.

A nearby North Memorial Ambulance crew responded along with Douglas County sheriff’s deputies and Alexandria Police Department officers.

Paramedics took Schlosser to Alomere Health Hospital, where medical staff worked to save Schlosser, but the injuries proved too severe.

Authorities said a 16-year-old local teen drove the pickup involved in the collision, and officials have not released further details about the moments before impact.

The Minnesota State Patrol will assist with a full reconstruction as the community supports Schlosser’s family and remembers a valued neighbor.

Memorial service details and funeral arrangements will be announced later by family members.
