Shaquille Carl McCoy, affectionately known as Shaq, passed away suddenly at age 34, according to a fundraiser created by Gloria Welch on Friday, June 26, 2026.
Gloria Welch organized the fundraiser to support funeral and memorial expenses, with $1,810 raised toward a $6K goal through 19 donations.
Shaq loved drawing, writing stories and comics with Jaidyn and Anthony, sharing jokes, smiling often, and bringing warmth to family moments.
Loved ones named in the tribute include Lisa Vahey, Jaidyn, Katie Pisani, Tayah and Atrayu Pisani, Donna Vahey, Fred Munro, Mendel McCoy, Kaylah, Qariah, Mendel, Quran, Mekhi, and Emmanuel.
