Maria Whah Streisel Remembered After Passing on June 26, 2026, as Family Seeks Support for Farewell Costs
Maria "Whah" Streisel passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Friday, June 26, 2026, after a serious illness discovered following a stroke in early April 2026.
Family members shared that doctors found Stage 4 breast and lung cancer, and Maria faced the illness with strength, faith, and courage.
Maria was the spouse of Damian Streisel, the parent of five sons, Dominic, Damian, Nico, Dakota, and Noah, and the grandparent of Jaxon, Colton, and Carter.
A fundraiser organized by Kaziah Streisel on behalf of Damian Streisel has raised $2,680 of a $6,500 goal through 39 donations for funeral, burial, and outstanding hospital expenses.
The family said memorial service details and funeral arrangements will be announced at a later time.
