Quantavious Lee And Charles Barnes Remembered After June 26, 2026 Wrong-Way Inner Loop Crash In Rochester
Quantavious Lee and Charles Barnes, both 21, passed away early Friday, June 26, 2026, after a wrong-way head-on crash on Rochester’s Inner Loop at about 1:26 a.m.
They were riding in a Ford Fusion when a 39-year-old Honda CR-V driver traveled westbound in the eastbound lanes and struck their vehicle.
The impact also involved a Jeep Liberty driven by a 29-year-old person, who received care at Strong Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Emergency crews and New York State Police responded, and officials confirmed that Lee and Barnes died at the scene.
The Honda CR-V driver also went to the hospital and remained in critical condition as authorities continued their review.
Friends and community members shared tributes for Lee and Barnes as Rochester grieved two young lives lost far too soon.
